Little Twigs - Woodland Stay & Play at Ripley Court School

Join our welcoming woodland sessions for parents and toddlers, open to the local community.

Little Twigs is a Forest School stay-and-play session held in the beautiful woodlands of Ripley Court School. These mornings are designed for parents (or carers) and their young children to enjoy the outdoors together, meet other families, and explore nature through fun, hands-on activities. You do not need to be part of the school to attend – everyone is welcome.

What to expect at Little Twigs

Held in our dedicated Forest School area, Little Twigs sessions give children the freedom to explore, play, and build confidence in a safe, natural setting. Activities are child-led but gently encouraged, allowing little ones to try new things, develop independence, and spark their curiosity about the natural world.

Children can enjoy:

  • Discovering wildlife at our bug hotel
  • Creative play in the mud kitchen
  • Nature-based crafts, like flower bunting or stick bubble wands
  • Exploring the mud mound and outdoor trails
  • Campfire snacks and a delicious hot chocolate to finish
