Sport

At Ripley Court, we aim to promote an active and healthy lifestyle. Outdoor learning is an integral part of school life. Sport is inclusive and competitive and, as much as possible, the children are encouraged to get outside.

In line with our aim of developing well-rounded individuals. Pupils are offered a vast range of activities outside the classroom We put the emphasis on fun and enjoyment and establishing a lifelong love of sport.

All children at Ripley Court enjoy a large amount of physical activity and all compete in matches against other schools.

The Little Court have two hour-long sessions with professional coaches, and from Year Three, children have five-and-a-half hours of team games, in addition to the many happy hours each week of outdoor play. Our beautiful grounds enhance our sporting offering and allows us to host many sporting fixtures against other schools. Children compete in football, cricket, hockey, and netball. Each year, the school hosts an independent cross-country event.

Many of our pupils have gone on to enjoy county honours both at Ripley Court and beyond.

Our facilities include tennis and netball courts, grass courts, playing fields; for rugby, football, hockey, and cricket, including a quintessential timber-clad cricket pavilion, an indoor sports hall, and a challenging cross-country course.

The newly refurbished indoor heated swimming pool provides a luxurious setting for swimming. Children are taught to swim from Nursery, and specialist lessons continue every week until they leave the school.
