Nursery A Day at Nursery

From the moment they arrive, our Nursery children are immersed in a gentle, happy, routine, thoughtfully designed to support their well-being, development, and growing independence within a calm and supportive environment.

Daily Routine:

  • Morning circle time, songs and activities
  • Specialist-led sessions in French, Music, Dance, Forest School, and Swimming
  • Creative arts and sensory play
  • Outdoor learning in our 19-acre grounds
  • Social mealtimes and story
  • A balance of adult-led and child-initiated activities

Each day is carefully structured to provide moments of calm and plenty of time for exploration, supporting both individual needs and group connection.

Wraparound Care:

  • Breakfast Club from 7:30am (no advance booking required)
  • Après School aftercare available until 6:00pm
  • Holiday care available through Après School (open to external families, subject to demand)

We understand how important flexibility is for families, so we offer a range of session options to suit your needs.

Session Times – Term Time Only

Morning Session: 8:30am – 12:00pm (arrival from 8:00am)
Lunch: 12:00pm – 12:30pm
Afternoon Session: 12:30pm – 3:30pm
Wraparound Care: 7:30am – 6:00pm

Children may begin on a part-time basis and increase sessions over time as their confidence grows, subject to availability.

Care and Comfort

We understand that every child is unique, and children are warmly welcomed into our Nursery whether or not they are toilet trained. Our experienced staff work closely with families to support each child’s transition with sensitivity and care. When the time is right, we take a shared, consistent approach to toilet training, guided by open communication and each child’s individual needs.

For those who need it, a restful midday nap is gently built into the day. Children can sleep in a calm, quiet space, carefully supervised by our team, ensuring they feel refreshed and ready to enjoy the rest of their day.

 

Additional Opportunities

Optional ballet sessions take place during the Nursery day, giving children a fun introduction to movement and dance.

Communication

We use Tapestry, a wonderful online learning journal, to capture special moments, celebrate progress, and share highlights of each child’s day with our families.
