Little Twigs Stay & Play

We are very excited to announce our new Woodland Stay & Play event, Little Twigs!

Little Twigs will take part on our school grounds in our very own Forest School facility, a fun and safe environment for children to feel independent, boost their self-esteem and enhance their knowledge of nature and the world around them.

Our sessions give children a love and understanding for nature and the environment, and they also allow children to learn new skills. The sessions are child led but we do encourage the children to step out of their comfort zone and try the activities available to them.

Our Forest School facility includes a bug hotel where children can identify different forms of wildlife, a mud kitchen in which the children use their imagination (and lots of muds!) to make a variety of different and delicious food concoctions, and also a campfire and mud mound.

In each session the children have the opportunity to participate in different creative activities, such as making bunting using flowers they have collected and pressing them onto material to create a unique design, to creating their own bubble wands using sticks and pipe cleaners.

At the end of every session, we all gather round the campfire and tuck into a bowl of popcorn and delicious hot chocolate!

The sessions will run every Monday in term time (starting on Monday 10th September 2018) from 9.30am - 11am and are suitable for children aged 18 months - 3 years. Admission is free.

Advanced booking is essential - You can book weekly sessions at a time or you can book termly sessions.

The dates for our upcoming Little Twigs sessions are as follows:

Monday 10th December

Please find some reviews about our Little Twigs session below:

"It was a beautifully paced morning at Little Twigs on Monday. The staff were excellent and so welcoming. I really thought the whole experience was exceptional and I felt the boys were so lucky to be there and they loved it.The area was ingeniously set out to invite experiments with such stuff as wood or mud or bug hunting.  There was opportunity for tree climbing and sawing wood under supervision, also building with large tyres and logs and even making a little wooden wriggly caterpillar or maybe working in the mud kitchen stirring mud soup. The timing and length of the session were ideal. Thank you." - Grandparent of Little Twigs attendee

"We had such a gorgeous morning. Please could you thank all of your staff that helped and the school. A really lovely activity for the little ones to do." - Parent of Little Twigs attendee
