Mtshayeli school classroom refurbishment
The work has been done and the children at Imvelo have moved into their new classroom.
Hwange National park, infamous recently for the poaching of Cecil the Lion, supports many local communities with ligitimate tourism. One such enterprise, Imvelo Safari Lodge, happens to be run by Mark Butcher, an old university friend of the Headmaster. After accidentally being put in touch again, the Headmaster has encouraged the children to raise money to help refurbish a classroom for the children at Mtshayeli School and to provide furniture and teaching materials.
Thanks to help from Sally Brunning and Lindsay Norman at Marketing Worldwide, every penny of the cash raised has gone into redecorating the classroom and buying new furniture for the children.
Do look at the photo album for full before/after pictures. Well done to everyone at both schools!
