Year 4 Reading Museum trip
On Friday 5th October Year 4 visited Reading Museum as part of their history topic on the Norman Conquest.
During the trip, Year 4 were able to see a full size replica of the Bayeux Tapestry which helps illustrate the events of 1066 and the death of Edward the Confessor.
The children also participated in a History Workshop about the Battle of Hastings which enabled them to study the tapestry in greater detail. The tapestry is used alongside medieval objects, replica costumes and role play to bring this period of history to life.
