Year 2 art trip to Wisley Gardens
Year 2 visited Wisley Gardens to learn all about William Morris and his repeated pattern designs.
On the trip, the children were allowed to make their own Morris-inspired masterpiece. They did this by exploring the beautiful gardens and drawing flowers which they liked onto a piece of paper. Once the paper was full of drawings, the children folded colourful paper into 4 and transferred the drawings of flowers and leaves onto them. The drawing was then cut out, giving 4 coloured pieces of the flowers, and stuck in a repeated pattern on the large piece of paper, which we were fortunate enough to take home!
