Nursery
The purpose of the nursery is to encourage their love of
school, to give them the first building blocks of literacy and numeracy, and to
expose them to specialist tuition in French, Swimming, PE and dance.
Ripley Court offers a splendid teaching nursery, where children are welcomed on or about their third birthday. The huge advantage of being attached to a school is that the children can use the facilities and specialist teaching in the whole school.
They follow the Foundation guidelines which guides their development in Personal, Social and Emotional development; Communication, language and literacy; Knowledge and understanding of the world; Mathematical development; Creative thinking and development and Physical development.
We do not push children too early into reading and writing – but they do take their first steps here.
Most children start on a part-time basis. The week is divided up into ten sessions, and parents are billed on a pro-rata basis.
