The inclement weather is set to continue, and the end of this week seems likely to be affected.

We will stay open if we possibly can.

"Possibly can" means if we can heat, feed and staff the school, and this in the past has depended mostly on the roads. The council does not always clear minor roads, and Rose Lane has at times become a lethal skating rink. This means that often the area south of the school has been cut off, and also has meant that safe passage for vehicles has depended on snow tyres or chains. Even a 4X4 with road tyres will not suffice.

We will keep parents posted with Clarion Calls, but if in doubt, do check this site before travelling. In the event of closure, we will endeavour to post "Snowmwork" on the website to keep the children busy.

As ever, parents are responsible for travelling and bringing their children to school - if you are unsure whether it is safe to travel, then don't - it is entirely your decision and we will understand.
