Christmas Shoebox Appeal

Ripley Court took part in the world's largest Christmas project this term called 'Operation Christmas Child'.

Pupils were asked to decorate shoeboxes in festive wrapping paper and fill them with gifts to give to those in need around the world. Samaritan’s Purse International run ‘Operation Christmas Child’ and they are a non-denominational evangelical Christian organisation providing spiritual and physical aid to people hurting around the world. The project started in 1990 and since then, more than 146 million children in over 150 countries have received gift-filled boxes.

This year the pupils filled a total of 49 shoeboxes which contained items such as colouring pens, toys and toothbrushes.

We would like to thank everyone who took part!
