Snow Update Monday 11/1/10

11th January 2010

From the Headmaster 11.45am.

Recent snowfalls in the area have largely missed us, and although we did receive an inch or so last night it is melting off nicely.

Rose Lane remains untreated and is absolutely lethal at the moment - but it too is moving to slush slowly and should be largely passable by Wednesday - but only with great care.

The ground staff assisted by the Gaffer have cleared the entrance to the rear car park and we are hoping that we will melt a walking path. Conditions will be trecherous.

We will, nevertheless, stick to the schedule of a Wednesday start. May I suggest that children wear Mufti and make sure that they bring gloves and warm gear. Advanced snowman building will be on the agenda during breaks.

Please use your own assessment of the safety of your trip. If in doubt, don't risk it.

Staff will meet Tuesday 10am. Those with difficultiies please call the HM flat or mobile.
