School Start delayed Sunday 10/1/10 

From the Headmaster 11.15am.

You should all be receiving a Clarion Call shortly.

I regret that Rose Lane is not in an healthy state because it has not been treated. The back car park is also unsuable.

I therefore intend to keep the school closed tomorrow. The staff will, it is hoped, meet on Tuesday and term will, it is hoped, recommence on Wednesday 13th January 2010.

I am sorry about the need to do this, but the chances of an accident are almost 100% if school started on time.

Please monitor this site regularly in case further delays are needed. In the mean time, cross fingers for some warmer weather soon!

Update Sunday 3.35pm

The weather has warmed slightly at the school and a slow thaw is underway. Rose Lane is particularly tricky but with a bit of luck it will start to clear. Unless we have a new freeze or large dump of snow, we should be good for a Wednesday start.

Staff will be meeting on Tuesday at 10am. Take great care coming in, and please call me if you really are stuck.
