Andrew Gough BSc UED MA, has been Headmaster at Ripley Court since 2001. He is a member of the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools (IAPS) and an Independent School Inspectorate inspector, as well as being a governor at an independent Prep school and a state primary school. He writes:
“I am enormously enthusiastic about being Headmaster at Ripley Court for many reasons. Here are just four:
“Firstly, I am working with an excellent and highly professional staff, carefully selected for their common sense, humanity and teaching skill and sense of humour.
“Secondly, I am working with delightful children from families who care rather more about their children than merely stumping up the fees every term – families who want their children to grow up with a participatory attitude, a gentleness and kindness towards their fellow-travellers, and with an honourable and well-intentioned attitude.
“Thirdly, I am dealing with parents who are not merely interested in placing their children on a pushy educational treadmill, but who genuinely want their children to enjoy their childhood.
“Finally, I like having fun. Ripley Court is an enjoyable place to be educated, and Ripley is a delightful community in which to live. Come and see for yourself.”
