The long term plan of the school is to replace all wooden buildings with permanent brick structures.
Powerful first steps were taken with the £1.3 million construction of a new dining room, art, science and geography rooms in 2007. Also in 2007 a new hard netball / tennis court was constructed, primarily to provide facilities for the increasing number of girls.
Since then, we have undertaken a number of smaller projects to improve the general surrounds, and also the swimming pool changing areas.
The next major classroom build will be to replace the Newte block with a large classroom block, including additional changing facilities, Design Technology facilities and cookery facilities. Plans have been drawn up - and the start date for construction of this year-long project, although dependent upon the economy to a certain extent, is currently targeted for late 2012 or early 2013.
