Future Development 

A small school with a low-fee regime needs to budget carefully to improve its facilities.

The long term plan of the school is to replace all wooden buildings with permanent brick structures.

Powerful first steps have been taken with the million-pound construction of a new dining room, art, science and geography rooms in 2007. Also in 2007 a new hard netball / tennis court was constructed, primarily to provide facilities for the increasing number of girls.

The school has embarked in 2008-9 in a number of smaller projects to improve the general surrounds, and also the swimming pool changing areas.

The next major classroom build is clearly dependent of factors like the economy. The school is currently (May 10) commissioning architects to draw up plans for a new Newte block and for an overall long-term plan for the whole site.
